The Horn of Dolgath

NO IMAG! D: The late great Horn of Dolgath was the warbringer of many an orclike legion. So obsessed with his craft was he that his name became his instrument - in shudders and whispers he was referred to as "The Horn". The horn in question was of gnome design, crafted to quake the Earth as though 'twere the third coming of The Blampted One. The powers infused in the horn improved performance in battle and the reputation of his musical prowess.
Music is an essential part of orclike culture; the musical accompaniment of an army can completely recontextualize the battle - mood of warriors, strategies to put into effect, and the strong sense of honor of those times were all informed by music. The Horn was at the forefront of the brasscore movement in the late 4500's, and after directing score for small skirmishes with bands of ragtag trolltypes he was given the position of Lead Brassassin for The Dolgath Initiative. The Horn was hence known as The Horn of Dolgath. The Horn of Dolgath spent several years as Brassassin before promotion to the prestigious position of Band Offislicer, composing and directing full scores that carried The Dolgath Initiative to victory in seven wars and three civilian uprisings.
The Horn's last stand was in a defense of the Great Instrumental Halls in the Deep Below of Dolgathurdun, chief city of the Cartogian Plateau Region. At the time the gnomes and great wormkin were acting in service of the Platar-ruk and worked to rip the Cartogian Plateau in two by slow manipulation of the tectonic plates. The movement caused destruction of the instruments, mines, and smithies that lay in the Great Instrumental Halls. The Horn of Dolgath perished by laying down the phattest and basstastic blow of his horn that he ever did, fueled by adrenaline and bloodlust to avenge the destruction of his craft. The blow caused the entire mainframe of the Deep Below to collapse, toppling the west wing of Dolgathurdun and completely burying all that lay beneath it. This put a major dent in the musical scene of the 4500's and caused a musical reawakening as armies had to return to woodwinds and strings to set the stage of their battles, while still reconciling with the loss of the finest Band Off'slicer Cartog had known. This resulted in grunge-flutegaze, which exploded from the Lower Cartogian Hills as their populous mourned the nation's loss.
