Following the creation of the Jonah comic, a retelling of the bible story of Jonah, the Oldies Era of Stale Pancakes began, with a new coat of paint for some old characters and completely new characters that mostly never got used beyond their inclusion in character lists.

Description in the 2017 Stale Pancakes Encyclopedia:

Stale Pancakes Oldies is an era, not a comprehendable timeline. Many things in it make no logical sense, they contradict one another, and just suck. And because of that it's better to think of SP Oldies as an era of art, stories, and comics, rather than a strict timeline.
Try as I may to make things fit together as well as possible, there's going to be inconsistencies. But just bear with it and keep quiet about these problems. And, of course, enjoy.

That description is so apologetic and insistent on things not making sense when they should because I wrote that one while trying to shove Stale Pancakes Fantasy timeline, the "New Rope" saga, and Willy's Awesome Adventure all into one timeline, which you cannot do. Especially not SP Fantasy!!! What a fool I was...
