Samuel the Sandwich is a classic initial member of the Stale Pancakes cast, when the series was first named. It had existed, yeah, but it was not called Stale Pancakes until the initial lineup, with Joe Turtle at its helm and Samuel the Sandwich in the ensemble.
It's possible/probable/I-think-I-planned-it that Dr. Burger is Sam's uncle or grandpa or something.
